For over 160 years, the Society has been actively collecting and preserving family records, unique family manuscripts, photographs, art and family heirlooms and important historic documents. Everything from family and local histories to military records and family bibles have been added to our R. Stanton Avery Special Collections. Each collection is carefully catalogued and made available for our members to view and use as research sources.  

Our entire manuscript collection is preserved in a climate-controlled, acid-free environment. Your treasured documents will be handled by a skilled, experienced staff of archivists and will be carefully monitored at all times to guarantee their safety.  

 If you have a collection or group of documents that you would like to be well-protected and available for other genealogists and historians to view, please contact our development office and let us know about your material and your desire to donate.
