In advancing our mission to interpret materials documenting and making accessible the history of families, NEHGS publishes books; a quarterly scholarly journal, The New England Historical and Genealogical Register; and a newsmagazine, New England Ancestors; and a quarterly newsletter that reports the latest research from our ongoing Great Migration Study Project. Our long tradition of print publishing dates from 1847, when the Register first appeared. In addition to print publications, NEHGS also issues electronic publications, including a weekly electronic newsletter, the e-News, and publishes select data compendia in compact disc format.
