The 19th Century U.S. Newspapers database provides access to approximately 1.7 million pages of newspaper content from throughout the 19th century. It features full text and images from hundreds of newspapers from every region in the U.S. The collection emphasizes such topics as the American Civil War, Western migration, African-American history, and Antebellum-era life, and contains a wealth of genealogical content, including birth, death, and marriage notices.
