The Photocopy service provides copies of specific pages from printed materials at the NEHGS Research Library. Simply provide the book or article title, author, and page number(s) you desire to submit your request. If you do not know the title, author, or call number try searching in our online library catalog. Requests can be made online or via mail. Requests are generally completed within 3-4 weeks from receipt.

COPIES FROM BOOKS AND JOURNALS IN THE NEHGS RESEARCH LIBRARY Please provide the book or journal article title, author, and page number/s that you need. A maximum of 3 sources may be requested at a time. Copies are made in accordance with copyright law. Requests can be made online or via mail .
If you do not have the page number, you can enlist members of the research services team to examine materials in the Research Library for you. Researchers can search books for names of individuals, families, specific dates, and other information. Requests for these searches can be submitted online.
COPIES FROM MASSACHUSETTS VITAL RECORDS 1841-1915 Copies of Massachusetts Vital Records 1841-1915 can be obtained from the NEHGS Photocopy Service. Please provide the name(s), year, type of event, volume, and page. A maximum of 3 records may be obtained through each request. You can download a PDF copy of the Massachusetts Vital Records Order Form. Copies are made in accordance with copyright law.
COPIES FROM OTHER MATERIALS IN THE RESEARCH LIBRARY Copies of rare books and microtext materials, such as probate, deed, and other records are not available through the Photocopy Service. Copies from these materials may be requested through Research for Hire.”
