Records of the Particular Court of the Colony of Connecticut, 1687-1688.

When Governor Andros arrived in New England in 1687, the courts were changed to some extent. Some of the Connecticut court papers found their way into "the Talcott Papers" and from there into the possession of James Hammond Trumbull. After his death, his daughter Annie Eliot Trumbull arranged for their publication in 1935 under the title Records of the Particular Court of the Colony of Connecticut. Administration of Sir Edmond Andros, Royal Governor, 1687-1688.

These are not called county records, but they seem to pertain exclusively to Hartford County. There are records of eighteen probates not mentioned in Charles W. Manwaring's Digest of the Early Connecticut Probate Records, Vol. 1, Hartford District, 1635-1700.

This little unindexed 43-page volume is in few libraries. We here present an index to names, some subjects, and place names (except Hartford when it was the location of the court).  The index is linked to the scanned images of the pages in this book.
