This genealogy of one line of the Benson family was compiled by Arthur T. Benson of Dover Plains, New York. Originally published in 1915, this work traced the descendants of Jacob Benson, who was said to have come from Glouster (now Burrillville), Rhode Island, about 1742. In addition, information is also provided about earlier generations of the Benson family in New England and New York.
