PROVIDENCE JOURNAL.
Deaths Published from January 3, 1820, to December 31, 1829.

The present series of newspapers known as the "Providence
Journal" began with an issue on January 3, 1820, and has been
published semi-weekly on Monday and Thursday until the present
time. On July 21, 1829, the Daily Journal was established. The
numbers of the Daily Journal from July 31 to December 31 are not
on file but the file in the Journal office commences with January 1,
1830. The file of the semi-weekly in the Journal office is not com-
plete nor is that in the office of the Historical Society, but with the
aid of the two a complete record has been obtained.
