McClure, Director of Research Services, is a nationally recognized professional genealogist and lecturer specializing in New England and celebrity research as well as computerized genealogy; is compiler of more than 120 celebrity family trees; has been a contributing editor for Heritage Quest Magazine, Biography magazine and was a contributor to The History Channel Magazine and American History Magazine. In addition to numerous articles, she is author of ten books, including the award-winning The Complete Idiot's Guide to Online Genealogy, now in its second edition, Finding Your Famous and Infamous Ancestors,and Digitizing Your Family History. |

Mary Edwards Researcher |

Mary Blauss Edwards is a genealogical researcher who joined the Research Services team in 2007. Her interests include New England genealogy; Plymouth County, MA; African American genealogy, Boston Irish, Vermont Italian and New York German genealogy; online genealogy; material culture; and gravestones and cemeteries. She is the Town Coordinator of USGenWeb websites for Hanson, MA and Lakeville, MA, and is a member of the Association for Gravestone Studies. Prior to working at NEHGS, she worked in the archives of the John Hay Library in Providence, RI and was a research assistant for the genealogies of rural South African families. She received a bachelors degree in American Civilization from Brown University and received a masters graduate degree in Public History at Northeastern University. ![]() Elizabeth Roscio joined the research services team in May 2009. She received her B.A. in history and art history from The College of William & Mary, and her MS LIS with a concentration in Archives Management from Simmons College. Elizabeth is from the Washington, DC area and previously worked at the American Institute for the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works, and in the Office of Archives and History at the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.
