Letter of Marriages of Bath, Maine, 1805-1817

Dated October 29, 1846, this letter lists marriages performed by Rev. William Jenks in Bath, Maine, from 1805 to 1817. The letter was written by David Shaw, town clerk of Bath, and sent to Reverend Jenks, a Bostonian who was a congregational minister in Bath. Rev. Jenks was also a well-known scholar and honorary member of NEHGS until his death on November 13, 1866.

The original letter is part of the William Jenks papers, kept in the R. Stanton Avery Collections at NEHGS, call number SG JEN 20 [118].
